Still can’t quite believe it

On 27th February 2026, I was honoured to receive Special Recognition for Brilliant Start‑Up Business at the Discover Ashfield Awards.

What makes it even more surreal is knowing this is my second year being recognised — a reminder of how far this little dream has come and how much love and support has carried it here. Every message, every booking, every bit of belief… it means the world to me. Thank you all again for the Voting for my small business and continuing to show support

Circus Photoshoot collaboration

I collaborated with the theatre and make-up teams at West Notts College to photograph actors performing acrobatics and as clowns. This experience taught me how to capture moving subjects and photograph against backdrops and learn how to use indoor artificial lighting to my advantage.

Re-Designing a Penguin Classic book

For a college project, I re-designed a Penguin Classics book cover, focusing on symbols and elements from the story rather than characters. This involved extensive research, a photography approach, and creative problem-solving to produce an eye-catching final design.

Mental Health Exhibition Project

For my final college project, I chose to focus on Mental Health, using photography to depict the feelings experienced by individuals facing various mental health disorders. This project not only improved my technical skills but also taught me how to capture sensitive emotions, with a monochrome effect emphasizing the raw emotions in my work.

Domestic Violence Campaign

The Ashfield district council had reached out to my college and asked if we could produce a poster to raise awareness of Domestic Violence. So I collaborated with the beauty department and firstly did a photoshoot which then we have turned the best photo into an eye catching poster. This experience helped me learn how to photograph makeup under studio lights. Here I have used lighting to help further make the makeup more realistic. I have then used my editing knowledge to further edit the photo to help the bruises come off as painful and realistic on the face. Once the poster was send over to The Ashfield District Council it was then showcases on their tents and also displayed on local bus stops.

Circus Photoshoot Collaboration

To achieve this photoshoot I worked closely with the theatre team and their make-up team at West Notts College to capture the actors moving acrobatically and also capture the make-up artists amazing work to transform each actor into this circus character. There were two parts to this work placement opportunity as firstly I captured the actors performing on the stage doing acrobats followed by being gruesome clowns then afterwards I took photos of each the performer and their make-up artist against a backdrop. This work experience helped me learn how to photography moving people but also learn how to photograph people again a backdrop that has indoor lighting and some studio lights.

Re-Designing a Penguin Classics Book

During college I was given a project where I had to re-design a book cover for a brand called Penguin Classics. There was a brief given out which I had to stick to and respond to with a final outcome. This brief stated that I must chose 1 book from the list below to re-design and make sure my final re-design is not only eye catching to the audience but also captures the essence of the story written inside. They also said to let the story guide my creativity when designing the new book cover. I did a lot of research behind the book, the characters and all of the pervious book covers. After doing this research I came to the conclusion that I was going to take a photography approach, and with a lot of trial and error and problem solving. I decided to do something completely different to the previous book covers as they mainly used the characters as the cover image but instead I'm focusing on different symbols and elements from the book instead of the characters in the book.

Mental Health Exhibition

For my final college project, I was given a brief to create a piece incorporating the elements of Fractured, Distorted, and Reflected. The brief allowed me to choose the theme or message to showcase these elements, with the requirement that the final product be suitable for all ages, as it would be displayed at a local exhibition. I chose to focus on Mental Health, aiming to depict the feelings experienced by individuals facing various mental health disorders. The brief allowed us to chose from various media, such as painting, slideshow, or photography to produce our final outcome. I decided to use photography, as it is my strongest skill. I believed that photography was the best medium to use in order to portray these emotions, especially since I have experience as I'm a portrait photographer so I have experience in capturing different emotions. This project not only improved my technical skills with my camera and skills within a studio setting but also taught me how to capture sensitive emotions, not just happy ones. I have also used a monochrome effect to help further emphasized the raw emotions through my work.
